1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Valor AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our services subject to these terms and your subscription status.

3. Subscription and Payments

Subscription fees are billed in advance
All payments are processed securely through Stripe
Refunds are handled according to our refund policy

4. VA Benefits Report Feature

Our free VA Benefits Eligibility Report feature is subject to the following terms:

Accuracy: You represent that any DD-214 or military documents you upload are authentic and belong to you
Limited Purpose: Information extracted from your DD-214 will be used solely for generating your benefits eligibility report and creating your ValorAI user profile
No Legal Advice: The benefits report is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal or professional advice
No Guarantees: Eligibility assessments are estimates based on general VA criteria and do not guarantee approval for any specific benefit
Official Determination: Only the VA can make official eligibility determinations. We recommend contacting the VA directly for authoritative guidance
Anonymous Reports: Reports generated without signing up will be automatically deleted after 24 hours

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate account information
Maintain the security of your account
Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws
Not engage in any unauthorized use of the service
Not upload fraudulent or falsified documents
Not use the service to impersonate another veteran or service member
Respect community guidelines when hosting or attending events
Only share your location or enable push notifications from devices you control

6. Community Events & Achievements

When you create or RSVP to an event, we store basic details (title, date, location, RSVP status) to coordinate attendance.
Hosts are responsible for event logistics, accessibility, and compliance with applicable rules.
Location sharing is optional and used only to surface nearby events and digests. You may disable or delete this data at any time.
Push notification subscriptions are stored as secure browser endpoints so we can deliver digests that you opt into.
Achievement badges track product milestones inside ValorAI and carry no monetary value.

7. Telemetry, Analytics, and Error Monitoring

We capture usage analytics (e.g., feature clicks, PDF generation/submission steps) and performance metrics to improve reliability.
We collect limited technical metadata (form number, draft ID, non-sensitive event context, timestamps, HTTP status codes) when diagnosing issues.
Error reports are sent to Sentry; analytics events are processed through our monitoring pipeline. We do not intentionally log sensitive field contents from uploaded documents.
Aggregated telemetry is used to debug outages, improve autofill accuracy, and monitor PDF reliability. For privacy questions or opt-out requests where legally permissible, contact support@tryvalor.ai.

8. Data Deletion Rights

You have the right to delete all your data at any time:

Navigate to Account Settings → Privacy & Data
Click "Delete All My Data" to permanently remove all your information
This includes DD-214 data, benefits reports, VA connection information, documents, and account data
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
All data will be removed from our systems within 30 days

9. Limitation of Liability

Valor AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service. Benefits eligibility reports are provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind.
