VA introduced the Claim Assist Portal on March 4, 2026 as a faster digital way to answer some VA claim evidence requests. Instead of mailing paperwork or scanning documents, claimants may receive a VA Notify email and SMS when VA needs more information, then use the portal to answer a question, check a box, or digitally sign a form.

What the Claim Assist Portal changes
